Monday Yard Work

After a long monday we all relaxed and did some yard work. Everyone had a job. So wonderful to just hang out outside for a change. I usually mow the lawn but Mando had to make it look like he was doing it. Then Chase and her friend Brandon loaded up a bunch of leaves and dumped them in the back yard. On the way back up front Isa caught a ride...

A Happy Saturday

Today was a wonderful day. Once everyone got up to start our day it all seemed to just work out.
Armando was going fishing today so we helped him load up the boat then Isa packed him a lunch. She loves to pack whatever she can get out of the fridge but we opted for things he would actually eat.
After saying bye to him it was time to take Chase to her guitar lesson. As always there was a bit of an attitude with leaving the house, lately she just wants to stay home. So Isa and I dropped her off and headed out to find something to consume that hour of our day.
We ended up at Target. For those of you that have taken Isa shopping lately you will know exactly what I am talking about here. This girl loves to shop. We cruised the $1 section for a bit, with her telling me how she needed everything, and Oh, that is so cute!. So we spent our hour shopping. She ended up with new shoes, a ring, a clover plant, a bird flashlight and a pair of leprechaun socks. I got some new sheets, and we picked out a ring for Chase.
After Target we headed back to pick up Chase fighting the Cowtown Marathon the whole way. Seemed like every street I wanted to turn down was blocked. We made it to pick up Chase just in time though. Then we were off to my moms house. Chase wanted to spend the day and night there. Seems like as soon as we walk through the door over there I don't exist to her anymore. I left her there playing Wii with Perry. Then Isa and I were off again.
This time to the mall. We ended up at Hulen Mall looking for lunch for me and Isa wanted to play. So she and I had a quiet little meal together and headed to the play area. Please forgive me if I rant here a little but I am just tired of parents that drop their kids off in the play area and go shopping. Isa got kicked in the head by some little boy that was laying upside down on the slide with his shoes on. Luckily she is a tough one and just rubbed her head a little and went on about her business. We enjoyed our time there for a bit and then left for Walmart.
Isa loves Walmart. She decided to buy a little broom and dust pan so she can sweep off the trampoline herself. (I dont know where she gets that from) We also got some hay for the bunnies and a night gown for Chase.
From Walmart we went back to my moms house to give Chase her night gown because she always wants to wear one. Then we were off again.
Headed home. Isa fell asleep in the car so when we got home I just put her in bed for a bit. I took that time to clean up the house and put the birds out for a little while. Once Isa woke up we brought the birds back in and were getting ready to go to the store when Armando got back home. Isa and I ended up going to the store to get some things for dinner while he put all his stuff away.
We stopped and picked up Monique on the way to Fiesta and Isa was so happy to visit with her and Darren for a little while today.
Back home again Mando, Isa and I played in the back yard for a bit. Holly brought Sophia over and Isa was thrilled. They spent hours playing on the trampoline and in the sandbox. Only stopping when it was time to come in for dinner. Then bath time. Relaxation time, and soon bedtime.

Overall today was great. No drama, just hanging out together.

New Bunnies

A week ago we decided to get our kids a bunny. After much searching we found a woman selling Flemish Giants here in Fort Worth. Isa, Chase and I took a trip to her house and after much debating the girls chose the perfect one. He is an adorable brown baby. He spent the night in Chases' room that Thursday night in a metal crate not built for a rabbit. At least it kept him contained.
The next day we went to Traders Village to find him a good cage. We were able to get a large cage for a little price out there. Felt very lucky. So we had this little rabbit in this large cage and he just looked so lonely that we decided to get him a friend. Isa kept telling me "Woo need a fweind" which means Roo needs a friend. Isa decided to name this rabbit Kangaroo because the first time she saw him hop she called him a kangaroo. Pretty smart I thought.
So we go back to the lady with the rabbits and ask if she has any that are not related to him. Luckily she had a couple of different litters of bunnies so we were able to find him a girlfriend. Her name is now Thumper. She is a beautiful little grey baby. Our rabbits are doing well together. Every now and then you can walk by and see them cleaning each other. Too cute!!!

Such sweet little baby bunnies...
